Margaret Rabon Ford is all about relationships. While raised in South Carolina, Margaret moved in 1982 to Charlotte to work in the media industry. Since then she’s made connections and friendships across many sectors. In the fall of 1997 she followed the path to real estate and began work with First Charlotte Properties. It was there, she learned to “walk the journey” with clients; going the extra mile each and every transaction.
In July 2005, she opened Margaret Ford & Associates and in 2016, her realty became affiliated with Real Living, a national full-service real estate brokerage franchise. Her vision of a company that values people, collaboration and quality of life is now reality.
Margaret’s personal commitment, experience and communication skills assure clients and associates they are in good hands and good company. She often reminds them, “It’s an exciting time but not always a straight path…step by step we’ll get there.”
She supports her community through work and volunteer support of the local public schools, Providence Baptist Church and other local ventures such as The Cotswold Farmers Market. Graduating from Virginia Tech with a degree in finance, Kyna first landed a position at the insurance powerhouse, Allstate, managing risks in the homeowners and automobile lines of insurance. Kyna helped launch a property inspection program to evaluate potential risks at homes to be insured. Clearly, she has a keen eye on showing appointments for roof condition, crawl space status and “Where’s the water heater?” investigations. In 1995, Kyna and her husband Scott relocated to the Cotswold area of Charlotte. Here, Kyna and Scott purchased (and manage to this day) several rental investment properties. They also dabbled in the renovate and flip market, doing full renovations on properties that were later sold for profit. In 2006, Kyna buttoned her past experiences together and obtained her North Carolina Broker’s license. She’s been helping buyers, sellers and investors with their real estate needs in Charlotte and surrounding areas ever since. In her downtime, Kyna enjoys playing tennis, coordinating the Junior Team Tennis program at Charlotte Swim and Racquet Club, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on her Hokies!
Kathi is a NC/SC licensed realtor with over 30 years of broadcast, marketing and promotion experience which translate to key insights and skills representing both home sellers and buyers in the best professional light. Kathi has lived in Charlotte for 40 years watching it grow from a town to a major metropolitan city. Southpark had two anchor stores, Highway 51 was in the sticks, Lake Norman had weekend cabins and Lake Wylie was “the river”. She can quickly navigate you through the multiple choices throughout the Charlotte Metro to fit your lifestyle. She is known for her client service being resourceful and creative in her problem solving. Lisa grew up in a household with a very active realtor. Her mother was a realtor, who broke all barriers and became the local board president as well as state association president. Shortly after completing college, Lisa followed in her mother’s footsteps, beginning at a young age as secretary at her real estate firm. Lisa was immediately drawn to working with relocation and foreclosing companies. Now, with more than 28 years of experience in this niche, Lisa has crafted organizational skills within a sometimes reactionary industry segment. Her resounding takeaway: “Respond. Don’t react.” Lisa is also involved in her community as a Sunday school teacher and elementary school reading buddy.
Lisa is like the glue that holds things together. Her in-depth knowledge of the industry, the market, and the nuances of the transaction is beyond compare.
Margaret Glover Schrimsher is a native of Charlotte. In fact, her roots reach back to the 1700s when her ancestors made Charlotte their home as original settlers. Margaret is tenacious when helping her real estate clients. She is known for her negotiating skills and valuable real estate advice. Through her years of experience and deep Charlotte roots, Margaret has an invaluable instinct about the area and its many neighborhoods. This has proven to be highly beneficial to her clients looking for their ideal lifestyle in Charlotte. When questions arise about neighborhoods especially in south Charlotte neighborhoods like Myers Park, Eastover, Dilworth, Elizabeth, Cotswold, Foxcroft, Southpark, and Midwood, most will say..."Go ask Margaret"!
An active member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Margaret has taught Sunday school for 13 years.
DeAnna was born and raised in North Carolina. She graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a bachelor’s in business administration in 2011. She moved to Charlotte with her husband in April 2013. Margaret Ford was their real estate agent. In 2015, after becoming a licensed real estate agent herself, DeAnna jumped at the chance to work with Margaret at the new Real Living firm as it would be the perfect fit to reach her goals. DeAnna is a savvy business woman and knows how to create a well balanced work and life style. She understand the demands on all household members (even the ones of the furry variety) when selling a house. DeAnna has the resources of the firm behind her to help each client feel well cared for in every transaction.
DeAnna enjoys getting to know each and every one of her clients on a personal level and strives to work her hardest to provide them with the best level of care. DeAnna and her husband recently sold their first home in Charlotte. They moved to Indian Trail after starting a family. They have one little boy, Will, with another baby boy due in July 2019.
