If you have a vision of sitting on your porch while gazing proudly at your property, consider looking at homes in Palo Cedro. This small community offers families lots of peace, quiet, and freedom.

A fur trader named John Work came through the area that is now Palo Cedro in 1832. The town of Albertson received a post office in 1883 before being renamed "Roberts" in 1885. In 1893, the community finally received the name "Palo Cedro," which is what the Spanish called the trees in the area. Palo Cedro has remained a rural town for its entire history, and to this day only has a population of little more than 1,000 people.

Shasta Lake is a large reservoir created by the Shasta Dam in the 1940s, and is about a 30 minute drive to the north. Sacramento is roughly 2.5 hours south, and Eureka is a three hour drive to the west.
