Once a primary travel corridor, Oak Hill’s history dates back to 1869 when 35,000 acres of government land was purchased by Max Strobel. He later sold to a group of German land developers. While some settlements came along with the railroad in the 1880’s, Oak Hills remained largely undeveloped until Hesperia’s rebirth in the 1950’s. One of several unincorporated communities of Victor Valley, Oak Hills is now home to over 8,000 residents.
