Apple Valley, CA
Situated on the southern edge of the Mojave Desert in San Bernardino County's Victor Valley, Apple Valley’s spectacular landscape and breath-taking sunsets make it an ideal place to call home.
Around the turn of the century, an early settler named the area “Apple Valley” due to the abundance of apple orchards. Throughout the subsequent decades, various factors combined to put an end to the area’s once thriving industry. In the 1950’s, land developers discovered the area and a small bedroom community was born. Soon, modern homes, golf courses and a variety of recreational facilities filled the area, and over a ten-year period, three elementary schools and a junior high were added. In 1988, the town was incorporated. Since its founding, Apple Valley has been a popular retreat among movie stars and the site of several movie productions. Among its many notable residents are Dale Evans and Roy Rogers, who made Apple Valley their final resting place.
