The city of Allentown features a wide assortment of historic homes, commercial structures and century old historic buildings. Allentown's City Center neighborhoods primarily feature a variety of Victorian, Federal row homes and bungalows. The West Park area contains a variety of stately Victorian and Craftsmen homes. The city's West End district features idyllic tree-lined streets with homes primarily built throughout the 1920s and 1940s. Homes throughout the City's East Side and South Side are mostly single and twin family homes built from the 1940s to 1960s featuring a variety of architectural styles. Allentown also contains a wide assortment of loft apartments in converted mills, historic brick manufacturing buildings and modern high-rise apartment buildings.
Bethlehem is in the center of Lehigh Valley and one of the oldest cities in America, dating back to 1741. The city is filled with historical landmarks and lots of colonial architecture to enjoy. In Bethlehem’s Center City and Southside, you can enjoy a more urban landscape with all the amenities of a big city, but without the high priced accommodations.
With a median home price of $150,000, Whitehall offers some of the Valley’s most sought-after residential choices surrounded by rolling green hills, woods and farmlands. North Whitehall is bordered on the northeast by Northampton County and Whitehall Township, in the southeast by South Whitehall Township, in the northwest by Washington Township and in the southwest by Lowhill Township. North Whitehall offers a unique blend of residential and rural character with development centered around Schnecksville, home of Lehigh County Community College. Surrounded in the northwest by North Whitehall Township, southeast by Salisbury Township, in southwest by Upper and Lower Macungie Townships, South Whitehall features a mix of urbanized developments and heavily wooded and picturesque landscapes.
Founded in 1752, Easton is Lehigh Valley’s smallest city, located at the convergence of the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers. Easton’s history has been well-preserved over the years and many historical buildings still stand today and are now functioning as tour sites. Easton Real Estate offers vintage architecture, including Victorian and Dutch style row homes, and pre-Revolutionary brick homes. Easton is split into four sections: Historic Downtown, West Ward, South Side and College Hill.
Affordable real estate prices and strategic location make the Macungie borough and Upper and Lower Townships a popular choice among Lehigh Valley residents. With a median sales price around $230,000, the Macungie area offers a mix of bi-levels, ranches and colonials build in the mid to late 1970's and 80's. Many homes are located within walking distance to schools, downtown Macungie and parks. Upper and Lower Macungie Township feature a variety of single family home communities in varying styles from traditional to ultra-modern, many with easy access to community parks, highways and shopping.
Emmaus is a borough of Lehigh Valley, located five miles from Allentown. It is also 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 20 miles west of the Delaware River. It is a quaint historic community of 12,000. Emmaus is a safe and family-friendly community that has been rated one of the best places to live in Pennsylvania.
