I was born July 31, 1952 in Redding, California. I am of Italian descent. My family immigrated to America in 1934. They opened a bakery in Redding featuring Italian and American pastries and were very successful. A few years later they sold the bakery and opened a restaurant serving both authentic Italian and American dishes.
I grew up working in the business all the way from my childhood, working while attending grammar school and high school. I played little league baseball and was on the swim team. I excelled in swimming and later went on to Chico State College where I swam and qualified for the Nationals.
I majored in Corrections and Counseling and completed ½ a Masters Program, moved to back to Redding and worked in Juvenile Hall. After a few years in Corrections, I wanted a career change and went back into the restaurant business. Although I’m thankful I worked in Corrections, I wanted a job where the environment was positive and up- beat, a job that made people happy and content.
I went to work at the famed Hatch Cover Restaurant in 1978. It was Redding’s most exciting eating establishment, where I was in management for 15 years. I supervised 25 employees on most business nights. It was a job demanding my full attention and dedication. It involved face to face and hands on contact at all time. Working with people came to me naturally and I found my job both demanding and rewarding. I learned the value of listening to others before addressing their needs. Even though I experienced great success in the restaurant business I felt it was time for a career change and chose a career in real estate.
Real Estate was a field of work where I would still be working directly with people. It was a service industry where I would be working with Buyers, Sellers, Agents and Affiliates. It felt natural to me. My Real Estate career started with Century 21 1993. In 1998, I moved my License to Real Estate Professionals , a high profile and respected non-franchised real estate company. Real Estate Professionals soon partnered with GMAC, establishing a reputation of excellence. After the “housing market bubble burst”, GMAC shut down their real estate division and Real Estate Professionals started a new partnership with Real Living, a company that I am proud to be associated with.
I married my wife Laura, June 9, 1986. We were blessed with two beautiful daughters Kalie Rose and Angelise Marie. Laura works for Shasta County Schools Visually Impaired. Kalie is a graduate of the University of California at Berkley. She is now employed in the field of Science. Angelise graduated from Sonoma State and is a Kindergarten teacher in the Wine Country. My family is the most important priority in my life. They are the reason I live and work the way I do. They provide support and understanding for me always. I appreciate them greatly. I’m truly blessed.
