In September I had the pleasure of representing the city of Dayton at the first annual "Reclaiming Vacant Properties" conference held in Pittsburgh. It was wonderful to network with over 700 people from around the country discussing how their cities deal with the issue of vacant and blighted properties. IT WAS WONDERFUL! This is a very difficult real estate market, especially in the Dayton/Montgomery county areas. With the continued fall-out of the mortgage/sub-prime problems, every aspect of the real estate purchase transaction is under scrutiny. We all have to do our part to turn around our market and promote positive and responsible homeownership. There are several commercial development and re-development projects I'm working on.
