Advice for Moving to a New Home

Planning Your Move

Personally I know the process of moving and relocating to new areas!  I've moved 36 times in my life!  That's right - 36 times.  From a very young age, my father served in the Army, and he would receive orders to move to various locations both on domestic and international moves.  Often living in temporary quarters, before getting base housing or off-base housing we would move.  At first, I did not want to move and leave my friends and my community.  After the moves would take place, I realized that I was given a gift to meet other people from all over the world.  These moves were key to my personal and professional growth as I saw this as opportunity to learn about cultural foods, customs, different States, different Countries, changing climates, global currencies, and so much more!

My husband and I had done our share of Corporate moves as well and finally decided to build our retirement home in Wake Forest, NC so we could be closer to our daughters and grandchildren.  We love the area and can't wait to share with you the treasures you'll find here in North Carolina!

My passion for real estate allows me to help other families make their moves and share first hand the ways to make the best out of your upcoming relocation!

Whether you are doing a local move, interstate move, or an overseas move - I'm here to help!

I have the tools, the connections, and tips to make this fun!  So what are you waiting for pick up the phone and give me a call (919) 671-7358!

  • Use this opportunity to learn about your new destination!
  • As you prepare to de-clutter take this opportunity to donate some of your items to local shelters, Good Will, or to other Charity Organizations in the community.  Give items to other family members to treasure so that they will think of you often after the move.
  • Encourage children to sort out their own toys to donate to another child who is in need of some toys.  This is a great way to introduce them to random acts of kindness.  They will feel like they are contributing to the move and helping another child.

A little planning is the key, so let’s go over a few things.
