Atlanta's Shopping, Dining, and Entertainment Playground
Welcome to Buckhead, Atlanta, the "chic” uptown district of Atlanta. Buckhead is a major commercial and financial center for the Southeast and comprises approximately one fifth of the City of Atlanta. Known for its expansive single family homes and rolling hills, Buckhead is bordered by Cumberland and Vinings in Cobb County to the northwest, Sandy Springs to the north, Brookhaven and North Druid Hills to the east, Midtown to the south and West Midtown to the west.
Arts and Culture
If it is galleries you crave, Bennett Street and Miami Circle are where you should head to browse cottage art, Southern artists, sculpture, folk art, watercolor, contemporary art, jewelry and photography. Buckhead’s museums include the Atlanta History Center, the historic Swan House and the Smith Family Farm. Buckhead boasts the Buckhead Theatre as well as the Improv Comedy and Dinner Theatre.
Restaurants and Shopping
Buckhead is home to a plethora of acclaimed eateries, including Blue Ridge Grill, Canoe, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and Watershed. To build up your appetite, Buckhead’s shopping district includes Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza. These plazas house Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Target, to name a few.
Residents of Buckhead send their children to a number of primary schools – E. Rivers Elementary, Garden Hills Elementary Morris Brandon Elementary, Sarah Rawson Smith Elementary and Warren T. Jackson Elementary School. Students then proceed to Sutton Middle School and North Atlanta High School.
As for higher education, Buckhead is home to Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business and the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business Executive Education Center.
