Real Estate Professional
Real estate is in my blood. I started my career working at Pacific Union Residential Brokerage in San Francisco part time as an assistant for a very successful agent in 1988. I was 18. After graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in International Political Science, in 1992, and receiving my real estate license I moved back to San Francisco and began a full time real estate career in residential leasing. I specialized in leasing large homes to members of the entertainment industry while they worked on films in the City. One of my clients later became my husband.
In November of 1996 I moved to Silver Lake in Los Angeles and soon was an Executive Assistant at a small privately owned multifamily housing development company, SNK Development Inc. I moved up to Development Associate, assisting in financial analysis and property procurement and then, the Development and Acquisitions Manager of SNK’s Southern California ventures. During this period I oversaw the development of two “Class A” mixed use multifamily housing projects near Old Town Pasadena; Arpeggio Apartments, a 135-unit community, and Acappella Apartments, a 143-unit community. These two projects were among the very first of this new type of development we now see all over California.
However, I missed the personal business relationships one develops in Residential Real Estate, so in 2002 I moved to Coldwell Banker. In my first two years with Coldwell Banker I was recognized in their Diamond Society. My transactions were in Silver Lake, where I lived and worked at the time, and in Glendale, Pasadena, Altadena, Mt. Washington, and Rossmoor in the Long Beach area.
In 2003, we purchased our home in Glendale in the beautiful Chevy Chase Estates, and had a second child; a girl. I’ve been moving people “East” ever since. It is not difficult to sell something that you love so much and believe in. Repeat clients and referrals from past clients have been the bulk of my business. My children now attend school in La Canada and I begun an exciting new chapter in my life in 2010 as a sales associate with Dilbeck Real Estate which is also under the same corporate umbrella as Christies International and Pacific Union.
I pride myself in the detailed professional service I provide my clients. Many of my clients have been friends or become friends. Coming from a back ground of managing staff, a design team, a construction team and working with various cities in permitting and final plan approval, I am confident that details, multitasking and creating interesting marketing strategies are not extraordinary for me. I truly love people and architecture, and putting the two together is so rewarding!
