When you read my newsletter, you will see that I speak about TIME this month. TIME is such a valuable commodity . . . once you lose it, you will never get it back. And, the older I get, I realize that the time really does fly by!That being said, I hope you will take the TIME, if you haven't read it already, to read my newsletter and some of the good articles that are attached to it this month. There are many great topics listed. One thing I'd like to point out. If you don't have TIME to market your home, or the TIME to hunt for a home, a Licensed Real Estate professional can help you. Nationally, November is Homeless Awareness Month, so I hope that as you are considering buying or selling your home, you will take some TIME to learn about the homeless in our Community (those that do not have a home) and learn what a local United Way Agency, The Licking County Coalition for Housing is doing to help. They do GREAT work. I had the privilege to work with them years ago and I found that these ladies and men are very committed to helping those in need. And, in Licking County, the need is great and the STATS are staggering. Below is what Linda at LCCH shared with me about the homeless and what they are doing to help. November is National Homeless Awareness Month
While you are thinking about buying or selling your home, I hope you will take some TIME to learn about a great agency in town that is helping those who do not have a home.The Licking County Coalition for Housing (LCCH) has been serving the housing needs of people in Licking County since 1992. LCCH provides housing services to those who are homeless or facing homelessness through Transitional Housing, homeless prevention through Project Homeline, and financial coaching and budgeting through the Positive Balance program. Last year, over 4,000 households contacted LCCH for housing services. Since September 2008, 1,649 homeless adults and children have contacted Licking County Coalition for Housing (LCCH) for help. In honor of National Homeless Awareness Month, and LCCH has various events planned for November: Nov 5-7, 2009: LCCH 8th Annual Shoes on the Square event on the Courthouse Square in Downtown Newark. Be a part of the Human Display as we gather 1,649 people on Thursday, Nov 5th at Noon to acknowledge homelessness in our community. A candlelight vigil will follow at 7pm. PLEASE CONTACT LCCH TO BE A PART OF THIS, OR SIMPLY SHOW UP ON NOV. 5TH ON THE COURT SQUARE. Nov 1-30, 2009: LCCH “Paper” Housing for All Campaign In its 2nd year, LCCH will provide any local businesses, churches, schools, and community agencies paper houses to sell to customers, employees, friends and family throughout the month of November. These houses can then be displayed to show your support to end homelessness in Licking County. November 16, 2009: Join 16th Annual Luncheon, Pieces of the Puzzle...Bringing it all Together, at the Place off the Square in Newark. Lunch will be served at Noon with a short program following.
